Summer 2013 Update
May 15, 2013

The spring was a very busy and productive time for the East Texas Men In Harmony. We presented another very successful show, “Gospel Jubilee” and made a lot of new friends.  Our headline quartet “Sterling” did a sterling job of selling close harmony to our audience.  Our own three quartets plus an ensemble raised the bar several notches and took the audience by storm with their first class performances.  And the chorus was proud of their presentation of gospel and barbershop music.

We finished recording ten tracks for our new CD, “For you, Always” which was a labor of love for us all.  All of the songs and graphics material are now at the production company and will be ready for sale in late June.  We’ll post information on this website for ordering.

And then, "back by popular demand" we will appear again on the Green Acres Baptist Church presentation of their Independence Day Celebration, “I Love America”.  Last year over 10,000 people attended the three services and this year there will be four because so many people were turned away.  What an event!  The GABC 350 voice choir, their 40 piece orchestra, top notch soloists, and action in the aisles.  You don't want to miss it. Be sure to look at our “Past and Future Events” page on this site.  With five performances on the books there is bound to be one near you.

If you like to sing, we’d like to talk to you. The chorus is open to all men of good character who like to sing and desire to improve their vocal skills. You won’t find many soloists in our group, just average guys who are willing to work to blend their voices to match the chorus sound.

We meet each Thursday night at 7:00 in the choir room at Green Acres Baptist Church, behind the large stained glass window. Reading music is not a requirement as we use learning CD’s to learn the songs away from rehearsal. We then break into section rehearsals to polish and unify the sound. We are then ready to assemble the entire chorus and raise goose bumps with our wonderful blended sound.

We’d like to see you next Thursday, and we hope that you invite your friends to join you. You and your friends can read more about our chorus and our musical brotherhood on this website.
